Mini review of Blechacz CD Concerti (Germany)

A short review written by Ursula Strohal, posted on German site tt.com (Original review in German)
on December 20 to cover three CDs.
I'll pick up Rafał Blechacz's part only.

Spirit, emotion, desire to effect
Astonishment three times: Classic with Janine Jansen, baroque with Daniel Hope, and romance with Rafał Blechacz.

Janine Jansen "Ludwig van Beethoven's Violin Concerto"...

Daniel Hope "Air"...

Similar to Jansen with Beethoven Rafał Blechacz plays with the two piano concertos by Frédéric Chopin (DG) against competitors - and surpasses many in his accuracy, technical brilliance, in the rich nuances of touch, the tenderness and the proud access.

The 24-year-old Pole, about the same age as then, Chopin, played as if inspired by the spirit and emotion of the countryman.

The Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam under Jerzy Semkow follows him fine and flexibly.

Polish radio 2 will broadcast Blechacz's  Chopin Concerto in F minor
@ 12:25 - 13:00 on December 25.
