Rafał prays and plays in Paris

Rafał Blechacz played Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.4 with Orchestre de Paris conducted by Paavo Järvi, at Salle Pleyel in Paris, on March 16.

“Rafał just finished at Salle Pleyel in Paris. Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with Paavo Järvi, conductor and Orchestre de Paris. Gave two encores (two Chopin Mazurkas in E minor and A flat major, from op.41) because the audience was so enthusiastic! They couldn't stop clapping. A big success for Rafał!”

Rafał Blechacz and the Orchestre de Paris did dress rehearsal at 10:20 of the day.

“Rafal and his father think and pray deeply for the victims of the tragedy in Japan, they said  so after completing the dress rehearsal”.
(Quoted remarks from R. Frackowski)

The soloist and the orchestra will perform the same program on the following day, March 18 at Salle Pleyel.
