Artists support Japan.
From Japan Atrs Facebook (Japanese)
Valery Gergiev played Verdi Requiem in St. Petersburg and is planning an event at Tchaikowsky Hall in May. Mariss Jansons and BRSO dedicated their concerts in Munich on March 17 and 18 and another in Vienna with Mitsuko Uchida as a soloist.  Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra will play German Requiem by Brahms at Berlin Cathedral on March 26.  Several artists sent messages of sympathy and spiritual supports to the agent.  Japanese artists have been doing various benefit activities inside and outside of the country.  In Japan, now in Tohoku (north) and Tokyo metropolitan area it is not possible to hold a concert because of damages and power supply shortage.  So benefit concerts are held in regions that are not hit by the disaster.
