Unforgettable Rafał Blechacz!!

A truly memorable evening served to the audience in Detroit, by one of the world's best pianists – Rafał Blechacz. On Friday, February 11 at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, this great artist has presented a solo recital, consisting of works by Mozart, Debussy and the Polish composer Karol Szymanowski (Piano Concerto No.. 1), Frederic Chopin (two ballads, two polonaises and four mazurkas).

Since the historic victory in the Chopin Competition in 2005, Blechacz, one of the most renowned Polish pianists in the world, has played virtually in all the famous concert halls of the world and has produced three CDs recorded for the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon.

Participants in Friday's recital were able to see why this young artist is considered the best. He is a true poet of the piano. He has in himself the almost magical power of transmitting music, pulls listeners into his world of musical colors from the first keystroke and takes them on a beautiful journey into the world of sound full of emotions, artistry, poetry, drama ...

On Sunday evening, February 13, Blechacz appeared in Ann Arbor again - this time in the Rackham Auditorium partnering with the strings quartet Concertante. He played with the group Piano Concerto No. 1 by Frederic Chopin.
Both concerts certainly represented events related to the most beautiful concerts of Polish artists in our Michigan region.

It is worth noting that Blechacz met with the audience after the concert. He was willing to give autographs on CDs and concert programs, received well-deserved congratulations and posed for commemorative photographs.
We thank Rafał for the dreaming Friday night and we are very proud that you praise Polish classical music in the world!
