From Universal Music Germany - Rafał Blechacz gives four concerts in April

Universal Music Germany as of January 12,

(Rough outline)

Poland's most renowned young pianist Rafał Blechacz gives only about 40 concerts a year. Therefore, the audiences of four concerts in Germany last autumn were particularly happy, getting a foretaste of the new album by the introverted pianist from Deutsche Grammophon. The program included - in addition to Mozart and Bach- pieces by Debussy and Szymanowski, which are also the focus of his upcoming recitals/album.

The young Pole, the winner of the 15th International Chopin Competition in 2005 with a clear superiority, won four special prizes. Reviewers were induced to praise him with superlatives; The San Francisco Chronicle wrote, "... we were witnessing the birth of a Titan ... he will earn himself a place among the greatest ...". Musik & Theater mused about the Blechacz phenomenon; "What exactly is it that the piano playing of the young Pole so fascinating?  It is the unspoiled authenticity of this artist." And the French Diapason postulated that, "what makes his personality, a mixture of naivety, clarity and classicism."

Piano fans from Germany can take on four concerts in April 2012, an idea of the widely praised Pole.
