The pianist Rafał Blechacz plays Debussy and Szymanowski

It was a cry of delight by Poland when the pianist Rafał Blechacz won the legendary Chopin competition in 2005 in his home country. Since then, he has travelled Chopin space on disk, but also penetrated the Viennese Classics. Now he is devoted to works by Debussy ("Pour le Piano", "Estampes") and Karol Szymanowski (Prelude and Fugue in c-sharp minor, Sonata in c minor)- and again we must raise the hat before worship. This Debussy is hardened, not milky, he has countless colors and virtuosity. He never wades in the fog, which impressionism allegedly sets about music. The two little known Szymanowski works are a sensation: Blechacz plays with flood of poetry, but leads out of the maze of chromaticism: his touch ensures maximum transparency.
