For the great Polish pianist Rafal Blechacz, news, reviews, interviews, and more.
For a moment I thought it was today at 8pm and I missed it because I was at Ingolf Wunder's concert... Funny thing that I saw Rafał's aunt and uncle there:)
One of my acquaintances in US also thought that the recital is today, listened to SWR and wondered if the program changed :DYou must have enjoyed the concert. Wunder will come to our country soon, though I have no time for his recital(･_･`)
Akiko,It will be 3:00 AM in Japan! Would you be awake?
Like many other music fans here, I'm accustomed to it; listening to music from Europe at their prime time. Actually it'll be 4:00 am; while winter time begins later this month, in Japan there is no switch between summer and winter time :))
Oh yes, the concert was great, although in 1st movement of Beethoven's 4th Concerto a string broke. But Ingolf managed to end the concerto well(the 2nd movement was very beautiful), during the break a string was replaced and then he played Chopin's 1st concerto, so of course I enjoyed the concert very much(even have a poster with autograph!):)As for the time, as soon as I arrived in Toruń to start my studies, I went to Toruńska Orkiestra Symfoniczna to buy a ticket. And, well, now I should be learning maths, but can't concentrate on something different than the concert:)
Good luck to your study of the subject that you chose!
Thank you! I'm working very hard:)
